Licensed healthcare providers with a NPI number or researchers with IRB approval can register for a PRO-PD Provider Account.
Once verified, you will receive a code you can share with your patients, linking them to your account and inviting them to give you access. You can choose who and how to distribute the code. For instance, the reminder email for an upcoming visit can include the prompt, "Please generate a PRO-PD score before your visit using the free Parkinson Symptom Tracking app."
Users may choose to revoke sharing at any time.
The PRO-PD is intended to improve care for patients and improve researchers' ability to quantify subjective symptoms.
When experimenting with new interventions, providers may request the patient complete the 5-minute survey weekly, to aid in clinical decision making.
Patients and providers may find PRO-PD scores enable goal setting.
